Item Number: #2691    Price: $ 4,500.00

These large Imari porcelain vases and others of their type were exported by the Dutch from Japan to Holland and then the rest of Europe in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. They were bought to decorate grand rooms either on mantels or on large cabinets. The two in pair measures 56.5cm and 59cm, or 22.5 inches and 23.25 inches and date to about 1700. One has a restored crack in one side. Both vases sit perfectly vertical, despite the slight tilt to one in the image depicting both
